Based in the United States, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has recently begun to carry its ministry to other parts of the world. FCA International, the newly established global arm of the organization, has developed a five-step plan to raise awareness of its efforts and build affiliations with other global and sports ministries. The first step involves communicating with FCA's 450 field offices and inspiring its staff members to reach out to a particular global region.
FCA International also plans to invite sports ministry leaders around the world to work with FCA staff to develop effective ministry techniques. FCA is also working toward translating its printed resources into a number of world languages. The organization has already published Spanish, Mandarin, and Ukrainian resources as well as several translations of its Heart of an Athlete devotional series. In the longer term, FCA plans to build and strengthen affiliations with fellow ministry groups while collaborating with the International Sports Coalition.
