The NFL Draft represents a renewed sense of optimism for teams and fanbases alike, and judging by early analysis, the Broncos made significant improvements at the 2017 draft. Sports Illustrated gave favorable grades to the majority of the team’s selections, including wide receiver Carlos Henderson, who received an “A” grade from the media outlet.
Selected with the 18th pick in the third round, Henderson spent the previous three seasons with Louisiana Tech, where he made 147 receptions for 2,878 yards 28 touchdowns. He was a multi-dimensional threat in 2016 with a career-high 19 receiving touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns on 14 attempts. Additionally, Henderson was a special teams threat; he returned two kicks for touchdowns last season and averaged 32.2 yards on 25 returns.
